Most global governments develop policies and strategies on issues or situations that affect their citizens directly or indirectly. The following websites from different global governments provide information on a range of national or global issues with differing policies and approaches.

• The US Institute for Peace - an excellent resource providing information on a wide range of social and political issues.
• The UK Government - a user friendly site from the UK government which allows you to easily and quickly learn different areas and projects that the UK government is involved in worldwide. 
• Ministry of the Environment (Brazil)
• National Portal of India - a government website that gives you access to information on government run programs and initiatives in India
• Department of Environment (Chile)
• GIZ Worldwide (Germany) - this organisation works closely with the German government to develop and oversee development programs nationally and internationally.
